Urban Eyes Optometry, Interior—San Francisco
Featured in San Francisco Focus Magazine, this interior design
award-winning retail store was a complete gut and renovation of a former
pharmacy. Columns were deliberately built out-of-plumb and beams framed
off level.
We worked extensively with specialized craftspeople. Custom-colored Gen-Yoo-Wine Linoleum was installed in a complex pattern. The combination of concealed and reflective lighting involved custom-designed fixtures incorporating sandblasted mirrors, supported on architectural steel assemblies. One notable technical problem was the special floor design and materials that achieved minimum floor thickness and maximum headroom on the mezzanine level.
